The gang gang is the much-loved emblem of Canberra - Australia's national capital. This gorgeous cockatoo, with its creaky-gate call, is shyly looking over its shoulder, having taken possession of this Louis XV carved giltwood bergère. The wallpaper is based on a 1900 design by J.H. Dearle, who trained as William Morris’s tapestry apprentice. A menuisier is a French joiner or chairmaker.
